Following on from last week’s blog about live chat myths we got some really interesting questions from readers of the blog, so we are going to attempt to dispel a few more myths prior to the summer holidays.
Live chat is only appropriate for large companies
Absolutely not. Live chat is used by large companies, and typically they may manage and staff the chat service internally. But that brings its’ own problems and issues. Yomdel Live Lead is eminently suitable for SMEs – by working with us, you can generate more leads for shockingly good value, and not have to take your eye off the ball in other areas of your business. How can you not afford to sign up??
Outsource your live chat service to Yomdel, and we will provide you with a seamless service. In fact, it can be difficult for your customers to differentiate between the staff you physically have in your office and the staff who operate the live chat service – a comment often received from customers who use our chat service.
Live chat can also give you an edge over your competitors. Lets face it, they may also be making similar business decisions as you do, but they may not be as open minded to change as you are (after all, you are reading this article and might be one step closer to getting live chat installed on your website). By changing your business strategy and installing live chat on your website, you open up a previously un-tapped market where the world could be your oyster. Who knows how that could impact on your future business growth; you could be one of the large companies in the future, and one of the tools that may have contributed to this growth would be the availability of live chat on your website.
Current figures show that of the 100 people who look at your website, 5% will use live chat. Of those 5%, about 40% will convert into a lead for you to follow up. This may not sound like much, but a recent property client who installed Yomdel Live Lead on their website kindly shared the following stats with us. In the first month of service, they captured 15 sales valuations via Yomdel Live Lead. Of the first 7, 3 resulted in instructions and two of those went under offer within 2 days. From this, they then banked commissions of £7,785. Their overall invoice was around £1,000 but the service returned 8 x ROI and they still had a further 7 higher value enquiries left to work, plus landlord opportunities and other referral enquiries.
Live chat is convenient for your customers. It is available for them when they want it to be available. There is no hanging around on the end of a phone, waiting for an operator to take your call. Or, worse than that, speaking to an automated system that doesn’t understand you…one simple step to guaranteed high blood pressure right there!
More and more people are discovering the convenience of live chat. So much of what we do nowadays is done via the written word – text, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Snapchat…I could go on. Why not continue this trend on your website? Our operators will have the answers to many of the questions that may be asked, and these knowledge banks are constantly updated. Why miss the chance to engage with these customers that may have previously been overlooked by your company?
Having live chat for your business guarantees 2 weeks sunshine for your holidays
If only! Yes, this is a complete myth, but I just wanted to check if you read to the end of the blog. The managed live chat service provided by Yomdel is, unfortunately, no better at predicting the weather than Michael Fish (now giving away the age of the blog writer!)
Happy holidays from Yomdel, looking forwards to chatting with you on your return.
